The annual examination for each year shall ordinarily be held in the month of May/June on such dates as may be fixed by the University. For failed/re-appear candidates, a supplementary examination shall be held in the month of November/December or on such other dates as may be fixed by the university. The candidate for appearing in the annual examination must have the following:
1.Has been on the college roll for one academic year preceding the examination.
2.Have good character.
3.Attendance should not be less than 80% (irrespective of the kind of absence) in the theory & clinical practical in each subject for appearing for examination. Candidate must have 100% attendance (including 20 days summer vacation,10 days winter vacation & 10 days sick leave ) in each of the clinical practical areas before the award of the degree. Provided such deficiency is removed within one year of completion of examination.
4.Should be medically fit.
5.Has his/her name submitted to the University by the Principal of the college.
6.The Principal of the college shall have the authority to condone shortage of attendance in theory only to the extent of 10%.
7.Every candidate shall be examined as prescribed in the syllabi by the University from time to time.
8.Practical examination should be conducted before the theory examination if possible.

The aim of the undergraduate Nursing program at the Post Basic level is to upgrade the diploma (G.N.M.) to prepare a competent nurse to provide care in all aspects as a teacher, supervisor & manager in a clinical/public health setting.

1. Academic Qualification
Candidate seeking admission to Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing (Post Basic) must have passed the Intermediate of 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
2. Professional Qualification :
Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as RNRM with the State Nurses Registration Council. A nurse, trained before the implementation of new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurse Registration Council, shall produce evidence of having been trained in any one of the following requisite training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery.
Provided she/he produces a :
(i)Certificate of good moral character issued by the Principal of the college /school last attended.
(ii)Medical fitness certificate
3. Procedure of Selection
Admission to the Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing (Post Basic) will be made on the basis of merit of the candidate appearing in entrance test, conducted by the University.
